Junior Roller Derby
To be eligible to be a member of a USARS junior roller derby league, an individual must be 17 or younger at the beginning of the membership season. Individuals that turn 18 over the course of the membership season may finish the season with their league. The only exception to this rule is for the club officers that are listed on the club charter. Per USARS rules, all club officers must be at least 18 years of age.
Junior roller derby leagues cannot share a charter with a USARS men or women’s league. A junior league may charter the same facility as an adult USARS derby league, but they must apply for their own separate club charter.
Junior roller derby leagues must sanction all of their events for insurance to be valid. If the event is being held as an exhibition or half-time scrimmage during an adult USARS sanctioned event there is no sanction fee; however, a separate sanction application must be submitted to the USARS national office. Regular sanction fees and rules apply to all junior derby events that are being held as a stand alone event, or part of a double header.
